A redesign of DocAviv's website emphasizing the films through a transparent design that places them at the center. The transparent design allowed the content to take center stage, enabling visitors to absorb information without distractions from unnecessary elements. This improved readability and encouraged deeper engagement with the festival's offerings. By focusing on user experience, the redesign created an easy-to-navigate, user-friendly, and visually appealing site that catered to diverse audiences.
A key feature of the redesign was the implementation of a sophisticated filtering system. This system allowed users to filter between different film topics and the various festival competitions. Importantly, the filter functionality enabled users to cross-reference multiple topics with competitions, providing a more refined search experience.
The graphic layer of the design takes inspiration from the cinematic world. The column design is reminiscent of filmstrips, while the red color, also featured as a dot in the logo, symbolizes the act of recording in filmmaking.
