Bodoni Condensed is a display font based on a typeface from an 1873 book of Shakespeare's writings, originally designed by Giambattista Bodoni in the late 18th century. Created initially as metal type for letterpress printing at a small size, this font was digitized through a scanning process. In designing this modern adaptation, several key modifications were implemented: the terminals of the letters were extended, the inner counters were rounded, and the contrast between thick and thin strokes in the letterforms was exaggerated, creating a contemporary interpretation that honors Bodoni's influential typographic legacy.
